La “Reserva Natural El Triwe” es una iniciativa de conservación privada voluntaria a través de la cual buscamos proteger un ecosistema de bosque templado lluvioso, donde existe una alta biodiversidad compuesta por diferentes especies de flora y fauna endémica.
"El Triwe" Natural Reserve is a voluntary private conservation initiative through which we seek to protect an ecosystem of rainforest where there is a high biodiversity composed by different species of endemic flora and fauna, which give a high uniqueness to this place.
Conservamos una superficie de 90 hectáreas de bosque nativo que corresponden a la parte central de la Cuenca del Río López, el cual es el principal remanente de bosque templado lluvioso de la depresión intermedia de la Región de Los Lagos y que en su extensión abarca aproximadamente 1000 hectáreas continuas de bosques, mallines y humedales, generando así un hábitat de alta importancia en la conservación biológica de las especies de fauna presentes en este territorio (puma, zorro, monito del monte, diferentes especies de anfibios endémicos -sapito de darwin, entre otros - y una gran diversidad de aves).
Nuestro objetivo consiste en implementar un modelo de gestión predial sustentable que logre equilibrar la conservación del bosque nativo, la actividad agrícola ambientalmente responsable, y el desarrollo de actividades de ecoturismo y educación ambiental.
We protect an area of more than 200 acres of protected native forest that correspond to the central part of the Biological Corridor of the López River Basin, which is the main remnant of the temperate rainforest of the intermediate depression of the Los Lagos Region. Its extension covers approximately 1000 continuous hectares of forests, mallines and wetlands, thus generating a habitat of high importance in the biological conservation of the species of fauna present in this territory (puma, foxes, Monito del monte, different species of endemic amphibians -Sapito de Darwin, among others - and a great diversity of birds).
Our aim is to implement a sustainable management model that will balance the conservation of the native forest, the environmentally responsible agricultural activity, and the development of ecotourism and environmental education activities.
